KOMEGA

The semi-retired Komega is always hard at work on the creative front. Having stepped towards visual arts, his performances and mixes have become intricate and rife with implementation of custom light and sound-based equipment. The recombination of his historical elements has reached for a transmigration of time and space. Converting audible waves to visual information and tweaking circuits at every level, Komega evokes an evolutionary relationship between man and machine...and music.

In response to the DIY culture trend of circuit bending and equipment design, Komega introduced his own "kromatron" controller (pictured in SPIN mag) and the "komegatone" analog synth-in-a-suitcase. With custom gear and illuminated control devices, huge basslines and nasty rythms, common reactions to Komega's performances are awe and inspiration.
